About Hafið Bláa

Hafið Bláa (Blue Sea) is charming lobster restaurant for 100 guests specializes in the products from the region and has gained an outstanding reputation for its Lobster buffet.

Reservation for lobster buffet is recommended but menu also available.

From each and every table of the restaurant Hafið Bláa, a breathtaking view to the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque Icelandic landscape, awaits.  You will see all kinds of birds from your table and maybe even spot seals playing by the shore.

Our Art Gallery is in the front of the restaurant and spreads into the dining area of the restaurant. The house has interesting architecture, designed as a boat. So if you love good food, nature and art, you will love our restaurant.

Open for lunch, coffee and dinner. During the summer Hafið Bláa is open from noon until late in the evening. In the wintertime we have shorter opening hours see website.

A perfect stop on your way to Selfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir or on your way back to Reykjavík.   Located between Eyrarbakki and Thorlákshöfn.
